The FA Future Fit programme for Under 7’s

Future Fit will change the way that Under 7’s are introduced to Football from September 2026

and Alexandra United will be introducing the format changes from the outset.

A summary of how the format will run is;

• 3v3 matches lasting between six and ten minutes each

• Four matches per Fixture date

• No Goalkeepers, giving players a faster-paced game with more chances to develop ball-

manipulation skills

• No Officials, just one adult facilitator per pitch to help make their own decisions safely

• No Subs, meaning every child can play as much as they want

We are currently awaiting the finer details as to how the Leagues that we work with will be

arranging fixtures and will update this page as soon as this information is available.
